How To Clean Aluminum Coils

Sep 19, 2018

During the cold rolling process, the aluminum roll is rubbed and crushed on the surface of the roll and the surface of the aluminum plate, and fine aluminum oxide powder is peeled off and adsorbed on the surface. The rolling oil and its suspended components will remain on the surface of the aluminum roll. Finished products such as compounding and painting cause adverse effects. When the straightening of the bending is performed, the strip is subjected to severe bending deformation on the roller, and the tension applied to the strip is partially converted into the pressure of the strip against the tension roller, and finally a frictional force is generated to drive the roller set. If the surface of the aluminum coil is not cleaned, the alumina powder falls off during deformation, and is attached to the roll surface of the tension roller along with the oil stain, causing wear on the roll surface and causing slight damage to the aluminum plate, so it must be cleaned by a special cleaning device.

Aluminum coil cleaning is to use pressure pump to pressurize the cleaning medium, non-contact spray or contact scrubbing on the surface of the strip, so that the aluminum powder on the surface of the material dissolves and falls off into the cleaning medium, and then squeezes out by the squeeze roller. High-pressure air purge, even high-temperature air drying to obtain a clean and dry aluminum coil. At the same time, by continuously replenishing the cleaning medium and using the online circulating filtration system at the same time, the cleaning medium is kept in sufficient quantity and clean, and the heat energy and the cleaning medium are greatly saved. At present, the cleaning medium commonly used in the aluminum wire processing industry is a cleaning agent (or solvent oil), soft water, and a chemical solvent.
